With all the excitement of going away last weekend I completely forgot to share the card I made for Manth's birthday (Manth is my cousin-in-law).
I wanted to do something different and to use the new toys I got for Christmas too and so this is what I came up with:
This used:
Backing paper: W H Smiths
Sentiment: Peel-off
Border: Cuttlebug embossing folder organic flourish
Image: Hero Arts Flourish
Wire beads and brads from the stash box
The main image I stamped on to the metal and embossed by hand using my Walnut Hollow tools for metal crafting.
For a first attempt I am very pleased with it and look forward to playing with the tools some more :)
Even more than making tiny paper roses I find metal working so addictive. This is beautiful. I love the soft shade of the backing paper which shows off the metal beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI've just posted a card on my blog that I made for my son's birthday which has a metal panel on the front.
Hugs
